Who is responsible

Finn Schoenmakers is responsible for information submitted directly to him through the contact details on this site. Contact: fischoenmakers@gmail.com. This portfolio is not operated as a registered business and no business address is provided for it.

Information and purposes

• When you email me: I receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message, and use it to reply or handle your enquiry. The usual legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to communications (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); if your message concerns a potential agreement, processing may instead be needed to take steps at your request before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Please do not send sensitive information that is not needed.
• When you visit: The site is hosted using GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical request and security information (which can include an IP address, browser details, requested page, and time) to deliver and protect the site. I do not have a website form or analytics dashboard and do not receive a separate analytics profile from this site. See GitHub's privacy statement.
• Theme preference: The site stores your light/dark theme choice in your browser's local storage under portfolio-theme. This preference is used only to remember the appearance you selected; it is not sent to me or used for tracking. You can remove it through your browser's site-data settings.

Sharing, storage, and your choices

I do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. An email is handled by the email providers involved in sending and receiving it; the website is delivered by GitHub Pages. Those providers may process information under their own privacy terms, including outside your country. I do not control their infrastructure or set their technical-log retention periods.

You do not have to email me, but I may be unable to respond without the contact details and information you choose to provide. I do not use automated decision-making or profiling on this site.

I keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain relevant records, then delete it when no longer needed unless a legal obligation requires otherwise. You can ask me about, or request access to, correction or deletion of information you sent me by emailing the address above. Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, request data portability, or complain to your local data-protection authority. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent. If you are in the EU/EEA, your supervisory authority can be found through the European Data Protection Board.

This site does not currently collect form submissions, so form-specific consent is not applicable. If a form or tracking service is introduced, this policy and any required notices or consent controls must be updated before use.
