About me
Hi, I’m Finn Schoenmakers.
I’m a game design student at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, where I specialize in Game Design and focus on developing interactive experiences using Unreal Engine.
I’m a developer who enjoys building and experimenting, with a focus on level design, UI, and VFX. I aim to create experiences that feel smooth, intuitive, and engaging for the player. I learn best by doing, prototyping ideas, testing them, and improving them step by step.
I’ve worked on multiple team projects such as Sublevel and Project Splitstar, where I contributed to level design, UI, and visual effects. Alongside that, I develop solo projects to explore mechanics more deeply and strengthen my technical skills.
I’ve always enjoyed games, especially competitive shooters, survival games, and sandbox experiences. What started as playing games turned into a strong interest in understanding how they work and eventually creating them myself.
Outside of development, I enjoy bouldering and challenging myself in different ways, which reflects how I approach game development: pushing limits, learning continuously, and improving with every project.
